Our Playa del Carmen Spanish School's head director feels this is a great representation of the area he calls home. He has provided outstanding leadership for our Spanish program over the past five years and loves to call Mexico home after living in many different parts of the World.
Anyway enough about him, check out the beautiful beaches and exceptional Mayan ruins just a quick flight away from the U.S. Mainland. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this video gives you millions of reasons to visit this stunning Caribbean coast.
This area is know for its rich Mayan heritage which is still present with local indigenous peoples still living in the area along with some of Mexico's grandest pyramids. The video features shots of Tulum, Akumal, Puerto Morelos, as well as the white sand beaches and crystal blue coast of Playa del Carmen. Our students make good use of their down time while not hard at work in the classroom by taking visits to these locations and seeing the stunning sites.
The French may have their Nice and Cannes, but save the flight time and the insane exchange rate with a quick trip to the Mayan Riviera. Who knows, you may even run across some World Class Mexican Food too.
